Two generations.
Twenty years.
Tysons Corner.

Vandana arrived in Virginia in 2002 with a single suitcase and a Lebanese grandmother's eye for restraint. Two years later, with the help of a small loan and a cold refrigerator from a Tysons Corner restaurant supply auction, she opened her first shop on a quiet weekday in October.
"I never wanted a florist. I wanted a small room where flowers could be themselves."
For twenty years she has designed nearly every arrangement by hand — quietly, slowly, and without trends. Her daughter Layla joined the atelier in 2019, bringing an editor's eye and a tighter hand with color. Today they design side by side: same shears, two generations of patience.
The flowers are sourced from a handful of farms across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and twice a month from a cooperative in the Bekaa Valley. Olive branches, when in season, come from a single grove outside Zahlé that the family has known for thirty years.
